Japanese Knotweed spray season set to begin

Spring is finally here! As vegetation and foliage begin to flourish, so does the notorious Japanese Knotweed invasive weed specie. However, its growth not only permits the easy identification of affected areas but also the spray treatment of the weed shoots. This noted - guarantee the eradication of your knotweed this year.

We wish to remind all our valued Clients that to ensure that their knotweed is eliminated this growing season, they should implement the proposed spray strategy ideally before June. Our experts are always available for any of your questions or concerns.

 Dunton's Eradicate spray treatment system
  • Spraying is the most cost effective way to eradicate your knotweed.
  • Spraying can be as little as 10% of your disposal costs.
  • Spraying the knotweed can only occur between March and November – but should commence before June.
  • A spray programme has to be administered normally in three sprays.

There are alternatives to spraying where time is a critical factor. By using Dunton's rapid Japanese Knotweed eradication process, EradZion8, you are able to treat the Knotweed within weeks.

Reducing Your Cart Away Costs

A great deal of time and money is expended unnecessarily in the construction industry on waste. A lack of forward planning and limited understanding of all the available options at the early design stage, is one of the biggest causes of over expenditure.

So often on projects, vast sums of money are expended on waste disposal at the last minute.
A real challenge in the industry is the perception that a 'remediated site is a clean site'. But this is not always true.

A site could have been remediated (which is to reduce the overall risk the site poses to human health and the environment) but there may still be contaminated soils left on site.

The good news is that great technological strides have been made in the field of waste soil treatment, which translate into real financial savings for developers and contractors on their projects. Solutions are available to deal with 95% of your waste management disposal challenges.

Typical Hazardous Waste Disposal Cost:
£132.00/ton (£140.00 after April 2013)
Typical Cost for Treatment and Disposal:
£20.00/ton (£28.00 after April 2013)

(The above are examples of typical costs. All site costs are subject to site specific conditions and quotes for individual sites are required)

Dunton Environmental has made significant advances in the field of soils treatment and waste management. Using our technology would ensure that:
  • Most contaminated soils are reduced to an 'inert' level before disposal off site.
  • Any surplus soils could be reused on site as structural fill, topsoil or subsoil.
  • Any Japanese Knotweed is treated without the need for offsite disposal and within whatever time constraints applied to the project.
With Dunton Environmental's involvement you are assured of cost effective and 'green' solutions for your developments.
